Selling ADI Surplus: Amplifier, ADC/DAC and Isolation Stock Checks

Retain full ADI ordering suffixes and separate amplifiers, ADC/DAC, isolation and power devices. Related base names do not justify combining different packages or grades in one quotation line.

How are full codes checked?

Start with the manufacturer ordering table and actual packing labels. A product page such as AD8606 identifies the device family; still provide the actual full code, package, count and packing. Do not infer suffixes from a top mark or a similar name.

Why is appearance insufficient?

Labels and surface condition address only some questions. Agree test conditions, sampling and coverage when needed. Continuity, visual inspection or one measured parameter does not establish full performance for an application. Confirm feasibility and cost first.

How should engineering leftovers be described?

Separate sample bags, cut tape, original reels and mounted parts. Note soldering, rework and incomplete provenance. Repacking loose devices does not make them factory-sealed reels.

Illustrative signal-chain review

A procurement team splits amplifiers, converters and isolators by full code and lot, attaches labels, discloses condition and agrees source, inspection and quote scope. This illustrates preparation, not a completed sale or test.
